Stamps have a rich history that dates back to the early 19th century, when the first adhesive postage stamp was issued in the United Kingdom. Since then, stamps have become a popular collectible item, with many people around the world pursuing the hobby of philately. In addition to their historical significance, stamps can also be works of art, with intricate designs and intricate details that make them aesthetically pleasing.

As the world has moved into the digital age, traditional hobbies such as stamp collecting have adapted to new technologies. One such technology that has emerged in recent years is NFTs, or non-fungible tokens. These are digital assets that use blockchain technology to certify their uniqueness and authenticity, making them a popular tool for artists and collectors.

One way that NFTs have been used in the world of collecting is through the creation of digital stamp collections. These collections can be composed of both traditional stamps and digital stamps, which can be created using tools such as pixel art. Pixel art is a type of digital art that uses small, square pixels to create images that are reminiscent of early video games and computer graphics.

Pixel art can be used to create digital stamps that mimic the look and feel of traditional stamps, while also taking advantage of the unique possibilities of the digital medium. These digital stamps can then be included in NFT collections, allowing collectors to own unique and one-of-a-kind stamp collections.

In addition to their use in digital stamp collecting, NFTs and pixel art are also being used to create new types of collectibles that appeal to a younger generation. For example, some artists are creating limited-edition NFTs that feature pixel art designs, which can be traded and sold on digital marketplaces.

As with any type of collecting, there are a variety of motivations that drive people to pursue the hobby of philately and other forms of collecting. For some, collecting is a way to connect with history and preserve artifacts from the past. For others, it is a way to appreciate art and design, or to simply enjoy the thrill of the hunt for rare and unique items.

Regardless of the motivation, the world of collecting is one that is constantly evolving, adapting to new technologies and trends. Whether it’s through traditional stamp collecting, digital stamp collections, or other types of collectibles, there is always something new and exciting to discover in the world of collecting. And as technologies like NFTs and pixel art continue to evolve, there is no telling where the world of collecting will go next.

I’ve always been a lover of stamps and pixel art, so when I entered the world of NFTs I immediately thought of creating my own collection of Pixel Art Stamps. Different subjects are used and different are the print runs for each subject, with some NFTs that are unique and exclusive, like the one you see in the image above of the dedicated to the famous Canadian postage stamp “Blunose“.

You can find and buy my NFTs from the Pixel ARt Stamp collection on opensea!

NFT collections worth discovering on Polygon: Canvas Cats! https://antiel.art/nft-collections-worth-discovering-on-polygon-canvas-cats/ https://antiel.art/nft-collections-worth-discovering-on-polygon-canvas-cats/#respond Thu, 03 Feb 2022 10:09:52 +0000 https://antiel.art/?p=34 I admit, I am a fan of the Polygon chain, both because thanks to its scalability and speed, it’s ideal for collecting NFTs and playing play-to-earn games, and so, also because I cannot afford the fees on Ethereum blockchain anyway.

The cons of Polygon, however, is that most of the NFT collections are poor and without quality, precisely the low fees allow everyone to mint anything, and it is therefore full of garbage.

But there are some gems on Polygon too, I’ve already made a few posts, here and here, on original and valuable NFT collections that convinced me to buy.

Canvas Cats is also part of this category. I admit it… just do a good job in pixel art, 80s and 90s video game style, to get my attention (I myself have created some NFT collections in pixel ARt). Canvas Cats went further by including the idea of the “canvas” beyond the simple idea of a cute drawing made of colored pixels.

So I decided to buy a Canvas Cat a few days ago, mine is # 2122. The collection is highly appreciated by collectors, in fact it has generated a volume of over 18 ETH (and on Polygon it is not discounted) and has seen the floor price increase from 0.0015 to almost 0.003 in a few weeks.

It is still possible today to grab a Canvas Cats for a few dollars. Here’s the official website: canvascats.com

How the “Squaranimals” NFT collection was born: the story! https://antiel.art/how-the-squaranimals-nft-collection-was-born-the-story/ https://antiel.art/how-the-squaranimals-nft-collection-was-born-the-story/#respond Tue, 01 Feb 2022 18:16:39 +0000 https://antiel.art/?p=26

Squaranimals is one of my first NFT collections, the idea was born playing with my children the evening, before going to sleep, on the bed, I created for them animals made only with geometric shapes.

My kids’ favorite Sqauranimal is #7 the Dog.

Every night we tried to create a different animal and the best ones subsequently became NFTs.

The collection currently includes 19 Squaranimals and is available on both the Polygon and Avalanche blockchain. The difference between the two is only in #9, the Mouse, which features different backgrounds and was customized at the request of the first collector who bought a Squaranimal.

I don’t know if I will create new Squaranimals in the future, my children have grown up a bit, this first series will certainly remain my favorite.

You can find Squaranimals on OpenSea (MATIC) or NFTrade (AVAX).

Extraordinary Pixel ARt NFTs: Polygon Zad! https://antiel.art/extraordinary-pixel-art-nfts-polygon-zad/ https://antiel.art/extraordinary-pixel-art-nfts-polygon-zad/#respond Tue, 18 Jan 2022 10:30:06 +0000 https://antiel.art/?p=16 As promised in yesterday’s article, today I’m going to tell you about another semi-unknown NFT artist. I don’t know who he/she is and I didn’t find him on Twitter, but I bought his NFT for the first time on September 3, 2021.

This is the “Polygon Zad” collection made up of nice virtual avatars designed in pixel art that have nothing to do with the thousands of copies and reproductions of the Crypto Punks. It currently consists of 294 NFTs.

I love pixel art NFTs!

Dops are not 1/1, everyone has their own supply, someone is rarer, someone less. I own several of them, the ones I show you in this article are my favorites: #1, #4, #251 (it looks like a viking), #134 (I love pirates).

I hope you like the idea and that you can support this artist too, here is what he writes as a description to his collection:

My name is Sua. I’am From Thailand. “My English is no good”

(google translate) Every painting with heart And I like to draw pictures when they sell. Price is not important to me. * No Rare Images Rare images are not created by the artist. It is caused by the buyer who likes which piece of work.

Congratulations and keep it up!

I got the Bunny! https://antiel.art/i-got-the-bunny/ https://antiel.art/i-got-the-bunny/#respond Mon, 17 Jan 2022 21:52:59 +0000 https://antiel.art/?p=9

Tonight I bought another NFT!

I’m very glad I did it because I liked it.

I dedicate this first real post on my blog to talk about another artist’s collection.

The collection is Pixelartgans and you can find it on Opensea (Polygon network).

Tomorrow I will talk about yet another artist who deserves attention.

Then I should also start talking about my works. But there is time for that… first you need to spread the word of NFT!

Good night and good NFT shopping!

I love rabbits (and bunnies)! XD

Edit.

After seeing this post, ARTGANS, the author of the bunnies gave me another one. Isn’t that cute?
